Adults 21 and older can serve in a variety of volunteer roles alongside registered student groups. Select positions receive a discounted project rate.
Volunteers must be 21 or older and attending a World Changers project. All volunteers serve alongside their registered church or youth group.
Approved volunteers in specific construction and coordination roles receive a discounted project rate of $150 (with a $75 non-refundable deposit). Roles are assigned by World Changers staff based on skills and site needs.
These three roles qualify for the $150 discounted project rate.
Adult leader with construction expertise who supervises a crew of 10–12 students and adults. Completes assigned construction tasks (painting, roofing, etc.). Selected by Construction Coordinator based on skills and site needs.
Oversees up to five Crew Chiefs across multiple worksites. Selected by the Construction Coordinator and assists with worksite selection and crew management throughout the week.
Provides basic first aid to injured or unwell participants throughout the project. Requires current certification from a recognized organization such as the American Red Cross.
These roles are not eligible for the discounted rate and are assigned by World Changers staff.
Assists the Crew Chief, works with the Crew Reporter on evangelism data collection, and motivates the crew throughout the week. Not eligible for discounted rate. Selected by Project Coordinator.
Delivers materials and tools to ministry sites throughout the week, ensuring crews have what they need to keep work moving. Selected by Construction Coordinator.
